On September 27, 2023, the PASB athletes embarked on a competitive journey on the sports field. Our soccer and basketball players traveled to Acampamento NR to compete against eight different international schools in the ISSL tournament. Our athletes were prepared for the challenge as this event, which is known for its fierce competition and history of outstanding performance, was of utmost significance for PASB. It was a hard season; however, our Panthers demonstrated determination and strength to represent our wonderful community. They were aware of the amazing opportunity that was offered to showcase their abilities as well as values. As this new season started, our players brought along with them the school’s enthusiasm and spirit while representing it.

PASB is known for having extraordinary classifications in soccer. This year, our boys’ soccer team landed in 6th place. While it may not have been the position we were aiming for, it’s crucial to acknowledge the hard work and effort they showcased on the field. PASB looks forward to experiencing their perpetual progress in the next seasons. Surely, this tournament prepares them for future victory.

The girl’s soccer team also had a strong motivation while being dedicated to classifying in a good position. They faced fierce competition throughout the games. Even though they ranked 5th place, they demonstrated a contagious school spirit and values. Through the games, these girls showed true bond and unity as they learned lessons as a team, which is a quality that goes way beyond the scoreboard.

Changing our focus to the basketball courts, our boy’s basketball team found themselves in 8th position. While it might not have been their goal, their dedication to the sport throughout the year was outstanding. They showed PASB values in and out of courts. We are sure that our Panthers will get even better next time, and we can anticipate their future success.

The girls’ basketball team placed 7th in the ISSL tournament. While it may not have been the best classification, it’s interesting to highlight their hard work and realize that their struggles became a part of their developing process inside and outside the court, especially since they only had 1 month to practice. It was a tough year, and every team was prepared to take advantage of the opportunity to display their talents.

Although this year was challenging for PASB, and the results weren’t the best of our school’s history, the athletes’ hard work while exhibiting their impressive abilities will be remembered. All of our athletes can take pride in knowing their achievements have not been unnoticed, and the PASB community is proud of their accomplishments. This season has been a great experience for our players to grow stronger in each step of their journey. It also works as a reminder that success isn’t just about winning; it’s about the individual and team growth, lessons, and unforgettable memories created.
